Description

Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for materials, processes and products, solving complex quality engineering problems in creative and effective ways.
• Review Engineering Drawing and provide feedback/proposal to PD.
• Develop metrology for parts measurement.
• Design gauges and measurement fixtures, and drive their qualifications.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis to manage the measurement errors.
• Identify and direct studies to implement improvements in measuring method where appropriate
• Drive data collection, verify the data integrity and work with PD on disposition.
• Responsible for quality issues happen at FATP and drive issue close with FACA provided.
• Collect representative production level samples and lead ID review for cosmetic criteria setup, provide yield assumption analysis and work on improvements.
• Ensure parts to meet reliability requirements
• Establish and implement Q-Plan/OQC, and review SIP to ensure proper inspection plan in place.
• Drive FQC/SI and FATP correlations on both dimensional and cosmetic during development stages
• Drive vendor to meet ramp targets through yield improvement and removing bottom neck caused by inspections.
• Develop stretch yield target with vendor for sustaining projects, and identify improvement opportunities to bridge the gap.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to vendor quality engineer, develops supplier capability (including necessary training), establishes proper reporting of in-process and final inspection and test results to Apple.
• Interfaces with other Apple functional groups as resources to optimise suppliers quality programs.

Requirements

• BS degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engi- neer
• With knowledge on quality management system structure, quality procedures, and quality tools Be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Exposure to typical mechanical mfg. processes and technologies (i.e CNC machining, injection moulding, stamping, etc.)
• With strong data analysis ability, able to utilise data analysis tools to discover the clues of inherence of data
• Experience on project management is preferred
• Good written and oral communication skills, fluent in English and detail oriented. Logical thinking
• Willing to work from OEM factories. Willing to work independently and travel frequently upon request
• Team player, self-motivated, result oriented & detailed oriented.
• At least 10 weeks full-time commitment to the internship; but the duration can be flexible.
